Paul McKenzie, Wet'suwet'en Artist

Paul McKenzie is a self-taught independent artist from the lower mainland of British Columbia. He belongs to the Laksilyu Clan, House of many eyes, Wet'suwet'en nation. Born on traditional Wit'suwit'en yintah (Wet'suwet'en territory) in Smithers, BC, he grew up in Vancouver away from his homeland. He has been drawing at a young age and he uses many mediums including digital, graffiti and professional tattoo art.  Art has been his way of reconnecting with his culture and he hopes his work will inspire others to explore their own cultural traditions while creating new ones.
